I think part of it is that there's a new cluster of towers just south of Bloor that's popped up at Jarvis and Sherbourne, and even though they're substantially smaller they loom much larger in perspective. I notice the same thing from the gay village, that it doesn't really stand out all that much when seen behind Casa, Chaz, and soon Casa II. Hopefully the roof elements and opaque balcony glazing give it a little more visual weight.
