Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

Ok, this is almost like porn. Massey Tower in 4D and time-lapse of the construction phase. Very cool!

HA! Just watched and commented on this on another site. It's a slick little vid, alright. The music was cool too. Going to be cool seeing this baby make its mark.

I had to watch that one alone ... ;) ...

That is one amazing video. The tower is going to look awesome. It's just a pity that the unit layouts are such a letdown.

This tower may look good from the outside, say two blocks away, but it has the WORST floor plans I've ever seen. They are small cramped and very poorly laid out. Good luck to all the "tenants" who will try to live here. The majority of bedrooms are 8'4" wide which leaves you 20" on either side of a queen size bed. I hope they aren't claustrophobic.

man I had the same feelings that the condos in this tower will be super small because this thing is really slim.

Completely agree - this building has a lot of really bad layouts.

Just for The Record, how many did you buy?

Huh, 85-90% sold.........different strokes for different folks

Maybe, but I don't think many of the people who bought here are planning to live here. This will be nothing more than an apartment building. People likely won't want to live here long term so it will become a transient building. Not great for investors long term.

My point is, they could have reduced the number of units and made this building livable - but developer greed has taken over.

Has is this developer greed? They're responding to the market. It's the purchasers who don't want to buy larger units. You think the developers want to spend more dividing up their floor space with demising walls and utilities?

You may be confusing "width" with "depth". All of the bedrooms are wider than 8'-4" (except the sleeping alcoves in the studios), and most of them are deeper than 8'-4".

Really? How does the cost of a few extra partitions and a little extra plumbing cost more that the minimum $300,000 per unit cost?

(Units start at $300,000 and go up to more than $800,000)
