Mississauga M1 & M2 at M City | 197.81m | 60s | Rogers Real Estate | Core Architects

Yes, it's a missed opportunity. They took an interesting silhouette and covered the whole thing in a nauseating colour. If they're scared of colour they could still have picked something to make this building pop/shine: black, silver metallic, charcoal, copper? But toothpaste green? Unfortunately, there are about 100 high rises in Toronto just like that.

I throw up a little in my mouth every time I see toothpaste green. Unfortunately, there are about 100 high rises in Toronto just like that.

But then how do you cope with walking down the streets of Toronto? I mean that's A LOT of vomit.

Quite right but like most things, one adapts. I steer clear of whole swaths of the city and mentally block out the rest. As in all things, I try to focus on the positives/things I like.

It's eye-catching, but in an aggressively disagreeable (if not down right ugly) way. There might be much ugliness in downtown, but a lot of is also tempered by the sheer amount of other, better stuff around them. There is no missing these two.

Shooting the towers today from the distance, it hard to say what floor M1 is at, but looks like 43 or 46. PVS is at 48. Going out on the limb, M 1 will become the tallest tower around the end of Feb 2022 when it hit floor 57.

M 1 & 2 will only hold the record for the tallest towers until M 3 surpass them in 2023/24.

The balcony glass is killing the look of the towers and to bad they were not different colours. Maybe they will be change in 2050.

Shooting the towers from numerous locations, still hard to say which floor M1 is at and have yet to get close to count floor.

By my count, they are starting on the forms for the 49th floor on M1. So it already has caught up with PSV though the latter has few floors worth mechanical section.

Not sure how this shot will work out on the web page.
Dec 21. From 4km west - the closest I could get today :( . I had wanted to drop by on Sunday afternoon but ran out of time.

Dec 26th - a little too gusty on Sunday so none of my close up shots.

So to my understanding they're just pivoting each rectangular floor plate back and fourth from the centre as they build upwards to get that effect...like one can do with a stack of cards?
