Toronto Luna at Concord CityPlace | 125.88m | 38s | Concord Adex | Core Architects

Montage is another case where it has that odd roof element which looks quite dramatic from the south, or like a generic wall looming over it when seen from the north.

Montage is so multiple in personalities that it fascinates me.

From the south the roof feature is so striking and powerful. From the north it's oppressive and generic. And from the east or west it just looks awkward. I just can't think of many buildings that from one angle are so powerful and confident and from another is awkward and timid looking.

Definitely the nicest Cityplace tower, not that's saying much. Also, it looks like Cityplace is getting its own schools. That'll definitely be a plus for residents and the whole area.

I can't stress this enough! I think I've mentioned this 10+ times now. On their own, most of these towers are better then the majority of (all glass) structures built in this city ... less the base.

Luna is actually one of the most forgettable large condo projects IMO.

It's awkward and clumsy, and the north elevations look boring and forgettable. Even N1 and West Harbour City have this modernist, looming dystopian feel to them which I appreciate. And to this day I don't understand Luna's podium, let alone how the towers meet the podium.

I will have to see how Parade looks beside Luna, given that CityPlace is one big cohesive project in a sense.

Agree the North elevation is less striking but the entire building is unique and uses/manipulates the space so well. Hopefully the interiors will match the outside architecture in creative & design. I am looking forward getting in there and checking out the space.

The most north/east townhouse in the podium (closest to Montage and the Rail Tracks) is always open/unlocked. I've had the opportunity to check out how its come along and things are looking good. A nice double height space at the front, with an office downstairs (possible guest bedroom?) and three bedrooms upstairs. Very nice layout.

you'd need one heck of an a/c system in the summer! you could easily grow your own supply of vegetables though... try some hothouse tomatoes!

As you walk west along the north side of Queens Quay past Spadina, there are several gaps between the older mid-rise condos with excellent lines-of-sight to the Cityplace towers:

The new residents of Luna and the other towers will find many useful services directly to their south along Queens Quay. In addition to the dog spa (Cosmopawlitan Pet Spa and Boutique) for their yappie mini condo dogs  , there is also a bona fide Jungian analyst :D !
