Toronto Lumiere Condominiums | ?m | 32s | Lifetime | Wallman Architects

Out of curiosity how off is that chart, must be somewhat because there is no way in hell we have more towers than hong kong. Neither does Montreal, LA, or Vancouver...bizarre

I should have added, by this chart a highrise is considered (I'm going from memory here) 12 stories or 35 metres in height.

but still really? Hong Kong has only 500? I thought they would rank up there with NYC for sure, considering how little land to build on they actually have and how vast their sea of highrises seems...

Anyway, on another note, here is a shot of Lumiere from College Park's remaining greenery.
...er well some of it..

yeah exactly, no way Ottawa is up there in Sao Paulo's league, although not that I would want it to be based on the pic...lol

Most cities outside of North America are under-represented in that chart. It's user-contributed and most users are in NA.

AMAZING shot! ^^^ pic of the day right there! :D

ROCP looks INCREDIBLE in that shot if you ask me... and the way these towers look together is stunning! Great composition from rocp (tallest looking) to eaton centre towers! (shortest lookin there)...
The west facing sides of both ROCP towers look stunning for some reason in that lighting!. these towers look really grand in that shot! very new york like! powerful looking towers if you ask me!

*and by the way, Lumiere is one FINE addition :D

Finally, someone said nice things about RoCP where I have a small cosy little pad.

Thanks Steveve.

From Bay Street. Still one of my favorate new high-rises downtown. It's good to see Bay Street finally see a few quality high-rises (Murano & Lumiere).

Yes, Torontonians are terrified of heights

That list has errors all over the place and counts anything over 10 floors high: hardly a good measure of a city's affinity for height. Try this inventory of buildings with a roof height over 200 m. If the benchmark was 300 m or more, Toronto wouldn't even be on the list. 300m+ buildings: Toronto has zero so far, zero U/C, and zero proposed. As a point of reference, there are about 150 buildings over 300 m under construction around the world; 300m+ is hardly a rarity these days.
