Looks like it will not be rotated until Monday as I was told by workers. They still need to remove the struts on the north side holding the bridge onto the barge.

I love the design of these bridges, and it's amazing to see them in this context, in the middle of a huge construction site. It really reminds me of photos of the construction of Expo 67: just a vast area of mud and broken concrete, then suddenly a burst of gleaming modernity and promise.

It's so exciting to watch the installation of something that will truly become a landmark. For decades to come, crossing these bridges will be synonymous with entering the Portlands for so many Torontonians, a part of the City whose moment in the spotlight is yet to come, but not so far off as it once was.
