Amazing pics drum. I am pleased to see a large amount of tourists are also snapping pics of the L Tower this summer.

This sort of unique building is what tourists and Torontonians alike want to see. We need more of a development culture focused on making money and style, not just making money and selling the illusion of style with sunset renderings of banal buildings and sales centres that look more interesting than the actual building being sold.

Great shots as always Drum!

Thanks guys.

Since this is one of the top list projects for me and can't get enough shots of it especially on nice sunny clear days. Need an extra 20m zoom for closer shots.

The city needs more non box cookie cutter buildings that we see going up all over the place. ICE, Aura, Shangri-la, Parade, Absolute are other top buildings, though I have a few issues with Aura. Trump was up there at one time, but has fallen.

Will we every see a true 400m building in this city since we can't get to 300?

probably not. 100m is about 30 floors of condos or 25 office floors. considering a 400m building would likely be mixed use, for it to happen someone would have to decide that it is worth building a 200m condo on top of a 200m office building.

I think a 300m is realistic for Toronto within the next 10-15 years. A 87+ storey condo would do it , or a 68+ storey commercial tower. I think a 50 storey condo on top of a 35 storey commercial tower would be great for Toronto. That would be about 1050ft (320m).

When we do build a supertall, I hope the architecture won't be mundane like First Canadian Place, Trump and Aura.

Interesting question. Although I think L Tower is turning out great, I would hope that Toronto's first supertall is symmetrical. Now, where to put it? :) How about Bay St. at Edward?
