All of the buildings in this development village have interesting details, but I dislike the repetitive colours and the generic shapes of the towers. You see so many boring 1960s slab towers in North York while travelling along the 401, and this project feels the 21st-century equivalent of that. The North York cityscape needs more colour, texture, variety in cladding, and interesting profiles in its high-rise architecture.
The residential towers that break the mould most effectively when driving along the 401 in North York are still the NY Towers, which is something difficult to admit for many an architectural purist (including myself). The Emerald City towers are great from a distance as well.
