People come and go, and they're the ones who decide what areas are worth living in. The Kingsway is less "accessible" than Parkdale. The Beach is more expensive than Riverdale. Then there's areas like Westmount, Shaughnessy, Mount Royal, etc....you really have to take a commuter train from downtown to reach those areas!

A couple of those could be reached by train, if our government ever put some funding into upgrading VIA.

Edit: Ha ha, joke's on me, after posting the above I saw another thread in the Transportation section. Apparently the govt. did just that today! Seriously. It's good to hear.

A VIA train from downtown Calgary to Mount Royal, Calgary...now that would be a short commute!
