Tim Hortons is coming down…

1:30 this afternoon.

Many of the fixtures inside Tim Hortons was left inside. Most of the signage was left up. The demolition job is quick and dirty.

Well that was fast...taken this afternoon.

(As I stood at the intersection taking the first shot, a passerby was beaming and said 'it looks fantastic'. I nodded and smiled.

Note the free standing structure exposed by the demolition. It appears to be a wall from an old building, now used as a buffer for the property to the east.

It got zoning approval from the OMB in February, having reduced its floor plate to not encroach on the 25m separation with the Grand Hotel redevelopment to the south.

I wouldn't wanna have the job of approaching all the buyers/investors and telling them that there unit is gone, or fundamentally changed. At least they most likely aren't end users. Centrecourt could do no wrong before this blunder...I wonder if they'll sell out their next building before zoning is in place?
