It'd be kinda nice if there were some spots to watch people/traffic from the 2nd floor that were affordable though. It would be great if we could get a Teronni!
That is a fantastic idea . with nice ambiance.Yes, but I'll add that I'd prefer it were a two-level or 2nd floor coffee shop overlooking the street at the corner.
Agree. Do you know if the people responsible for this are reading these threads to wonder what would people like? That is a fantastic idea . with nice ambiance.
This is unusual:

Also really reminds me of Woodward's in Vancouver. Maybe a bit too much? Could it be a coincidence that both buildings have a similar flatiron form, curved corners, metal balcony guards, a projecting canopy at the top, and some kind of vertical filigreed panels?

From the HPA letter:
The original design for the project included a stamped metal vertical fin detail on the façade. Upon thorough investigation of the fabrication required, we were unable to locate a supplier that could produce and certify it at the scale required for the building.
In light of these challenges, we have made the decision to eliminate the vertical fin elements from the design. We firmly believe that maintaining the design integrity of the building is of paramount importance, and rather than compromising on the quality of the detailing, we have chosen to make this modification.
I think that they should substitute a strip of pale mint green panels instead! Everyone loved them on 88 Queen.could it be that the originally envisioned vertical stamped metal paneling is being eliminated ?
