Since when is symmetry a requirement of a successul street?
Keep in mind that M5V and Charlie are going up on the same block....they're both tall buildings. Lightbox should blend in just fine.I love everything about this building -- except for its location. The 2 and 3 story buildings are completely over shadowed. There is no symmetry in the street wall. Lightbox completely overwhelms this successful strip.
It'll be curious to see how things will develop. To restore symmetry, there's no option to reduce the height of Lightbox so we need to address the other side of the street: Taller buildings will need to be developed behind the 2/3 story buildings fronting King.

I must say that I like the Bell Lightbox podium a lot ... however the curtain wall design and choice of glass makes the tower portion look so typical, bland, and uninspring ... much like many other 'glass boxes' being built throughout the City
In fact ... Festival 'tower' reminds me very much of the two Maple Leaf Square towers ~
