I think we all knew this was going to be a fail ages ago. Just look at that ugly brick colour compared with the building right next to it.

The area surrounding Islington station is a pretty dreadful place for high-rise architecture. One rare bright spot is the view of 41 Mabelle's staggered balconies while travelling in/out of the station on the subway.
As you can see from the new link at the top of the page, there is a new real estate thread for this project, and most of the posts from purchasers in the building have been moved to that thread.

It looks better than I thought it would. Better than Fly. (That's what Fly needed to work better: brick cladding on the lower 6 floors.)

It's actually nice looking. Nice choice of brick colour. I don't understand why there is so much hate for this building.

5 May 2013: I was surprised how decently this project fits into the Dundas West vibe -- ie creates a better urban streetwall compared to the dreck built here lately.

These condo developments are resulting in a decent streetwall on Dundas, with storefronts on the ground floor. It'll probably be a good, walkable neighbourhood one day.
