They've moved the fencing closer to the building at Leaside Station, too. Taken this morning

Edit: adding more photos taken after work of Leaside and Laird stations in those threads. Fences are moved/gone at 3/4 entrance buildings

Would it be fair to say the Eglinton LRT will not be opening in 2025? especially considering Finch West LRT won't open until December 7 and following this we head into the holiday season.

Honestly, there's probably an internal desire to open the Eglinton LRT this year for optics purposes.

Continually pushing it to next year doesn't look good on anyone. Opening Line 6 before Line 5 will also raise alot more questions than answers.

Now having said that nothing would surprise me at this point.

The second phase of the REM in Montreal will open end of November. It started roughly the same time as this line did. The optics of this, plus Finch cannot be good.

They would pick an underground station like Mount Dennis, Eglinton or Kennedy Station to do that. For Line 6, they can pick Finch West Station.

Agreed but even doing that.. you need trains. Can you imagine the press if the trains were delayed 30 minutes due to snow on the line?

The only issue with Finch West LRT is that people are saying that the TTC doesn't have enough lead time to prepare the schedules and all the maneuvering that entails.

But with Eglinton, there's already a lot of visible effort to get the schedule ready. I'd think they could be ready for Dec 7 if the Crosstown was handed over to them in November. Though there's the added complication of opening both at the same time.
