That’s unfortunate not everyone can use it to cross Eglinton.Only the north side entrances are connected with a fare-free walkthrough

Shhhh... If they hear that, they'll never tell us!Would be nice if they had to release the failure. Would go a long way in being transparent.
Would it be fair to say the Eglinton LRT will not be opening in 2025? especially considering Finch West LRT won't open until December 7 and following this we head into the holiday season.

Finch West LRT could open Dec. 7, sources say
Ontario government officials say the Line 6 Finch West LRT will be fully transferred to the TTC by Nov. 3.toronto.citynews.ca
The second phase of the REM in Montreal will open end of November. It started roughly the same time as this line did. The optics of this, plus Finch cannot be good.Honestly, there's probably an internal desire to open the Eglinton LRT this year for optics purposes.
Continually pushing it to next year doesn't look good on anyone. Opening Line 6 before Line 5 will also raise alot more questions than answers.
Now having said that nothing would surprise me at this point.
I think the TYSSE opened on a Dec. 17, so it may not matter much of it is into the holiday season.
They would pick an underground station like Mount Dennis, Eglinton or Kennedy Station to do that. For Line 6, they can pick Finch West Station.Yes but the Subway is underground, the LRT is not. I doubt they would want the thing to be hindered by a bit of snow during a media event.

Just park one there. Since when the politicians or Metrolinx care so much about the press/transparency?Agreed but even doing that.. you need trains. Can you imagine the press if the trains were delayed 30 minutes due to snow on the line?
They have removed all the fencing around the Chaplin and Avenue stations over the last couple days. I take it as a good sign.
