When I shot the site a week ago, the footing was in place for the tower crane and nice to see it up now.

The hole will support 5 levels of parking.

Talking to the Day Care owner over a week ago, they still had no firm date for moving to the new location, other than before Christmas. Other than 2 outside stairs, fencing and grass to be place, not much left to be done outside or inside.

The hole for the next 2 towers will be done the same way as this tower with no shoring

The first tower was delay by the city, as they wanted the waterline replacement done first. This has happen on a number of other things.

I found this image of the building crown on condonow. Looks the roof has been flattened, just like the second phase. Part of me hopes that they revise the crown design of the first tower and flatten it out too.

This whole project has just been a roller coaster of redesigns and showcases Solmar's struggles and lack of experience. We started with 3 themed towers and now none of them match.

Now the day care has moved to its temporary location, excavation will get underway in the new year for Tower 2. Not all the toys outside have been moved to the new location as there is no room for it. Wouldn't be surprise if the remaining items are recycle and new one purchase when they move into their new home in 2022.

Solmar has made a request to Jan 30 committee of Adjustment to decease the number of units for Tower 2 (30 Elm Dr) from 418 to 411 as well increase the floor slab from 750 sq m to 762 sq m For Tower 1 (36 Elm Dr)

For what purpose do you think this is for? Are they combining units to make larger units? And would that lower that max floors by one?
