For my money the most interesting--and conceptually engaging--object in the "park" is the monolithic sign designating the space as a park.
The original renders had the park much more to the curb expansive than it is currently, with an additional glass sculpture and the sign designed to match those sculptures. I think the whole problem with all of this is that it's gotten so horribly neutered that it's taken on Pythonish proportion's and likely leaving many of a passerby asking, "This is a park?" While the meaning of said park has gotten lost in it all. /sigh
