Taken this morning. Towers rising. Nice to see irregular floor plates forming on the west side. Some finishing touches added up top too. Also sidewalk labs - sorry, workers - doing some nice sidewalk finishing on Jarvis. They're a friendly lot - they all simultaneously waved for one pic. :)

A couple of days ago, from Loblaw's rooftop parking. I've been parking here for years now, and it's hard to imagine the view being so drastically changed.

Anyone knows what is the destiny of Redpath plant? I think for this area the plant is a big spoiler.

It's here to stay, according to them.

I still think they will eventually move when they realize they are sitting on some of the most valuable land in the country, especially once all the empty lots around them are developed.

Plenty of cheap lots with lake access available in Hamilton for their use - and as much as they may like Toronto, $300 million for the property can make a move seem mighty attractive. Money talks. 4.3 hectares within walking distance of Union Station will sell for a pretty penny.

The raw sugar warehouse is ripe with reuse possibilities.

It adds to the character of the area for me. Unless they turn that land into a park of sorts, I'd rather it remain than have another wall of condos.

The plant will likely move in the medium term however, especially when the area is fairly well developed in a few years and people start complaining to councilors about the smell/sight.

The office portion of the Daniels project looks really good. Here's hoping that the towers add to it
