Toronto Crosstown LRT: Mount Dennis Station and EMSF | ?m | 3s | Metrolinx | IBI Group

CN and CP run parallel at Mt Dennis, with CP being on the northeast side. I'd imagine that's where the delivery track you're referring to would be?
Yes - there was a blurry rendering in the early days which seemed to indicate a spur off the CP track

Will this be running the traffic lights along the surface portion too? It's one thing to be able to get trains back to stations, but to actually run continuously is a bold move.

Surface will be 4 way stops. like they all are in times of blackouts.

80 more photos of the area are up on site

Thats some hike to/from Weston Rd for the 89 bus riders to the LRT/UPX/RER platform.

Eglinton is really going to swing south between Black Creek and Keele to get around the portal entrance.

There were pouring the concrete road on the new Kodiak Rd bridge when I was there.

All the piers and retaining ends are in place to start forming for the overhead bridge going over Black Creek Dr.

New structure going up north of Kodak and couldn't get shop of nor what it is. CP track is almost reinstalled on the new bridge and work taking north of Eglinton.

Track being installed along with overhead support pole from the yard to the Mount Dennis Station. Tracks are almost ready to be install from the station to the east side of Black Creek overpass. Still missing the T beams from the portal to the pier on the west side of the creek.T beams in place from the creek to the next pier support, but no decking on it. The rest of the overpass is pour with curbs being form. The pier steel support in the process of coming down.

More up on site. Too much snow blocking access to where I wanted to get closer shots up to 3' deep and wide.

Tree Removal at Eglinton Maintenance and Storage Facility Site (EMSF)

From link.

What Work is Taking Place?
  • Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS), as part of the Certificate of Property Use for the EMSF lands, is required to install a soil cap across the entire EMSF site to prevent contact with existing soil. The requirement stems from a Risk Assessment (RA) that Metrolinx conducted to assess the human/ecological risks from the historical Kodak operations.
    • In preparation for the installation of a soil cap, crews will be removing a number of trees on the east side of the site.
    • All appropriate permissions and permits to remove the trees will be obtained prior to the start of this work.
    • Following earthworks and capping, the area will be restored through tree/shrub planting and natural landscaping.
Hours of Work
  • These removals are expected to occur as early as late February 2019.
    • Occasional overnight work may be required. Metrolinx will notify the public in advance and monitor activities throughout. Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
  • Residents and businesses near construction sites should anticipate noise from excavators, bobcats, and other construction equipment caused by tree removal and removal of debris.
Travelling Smart during Construction
Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
