Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Once the Dome switches to natural grass for baseball, there may be enough Astroturf for Line 5.

Not sure how much of this was a joke or not but the Dome is more than likely not switching over to natural glass.

I got some vide the other day of the construction work at Don Mills they have the walls up on both sides of the entrance and exit ramps for the crosstown you can really get a sense of how large the station will be by the space between them.

Eglinton West LRT: "We dont think it will be a cost effective design to build huge overpasses over the major intersections, and there is no other way to do such a thing"
Crosstown LRT: *while building underpass beneath Don Mills intersection* "??????"

That hit spot on, especially how Ford and the such claim that it would NOT be a cost effective design for the EWLRT, but they are building something like under Don Mills. But that was probably chosen by the Libs

Building Description
For the first time ever, public are invited to take a peek behind the doors of the Eglinton Maintenance and Storage Facility (EMSF). It houses the Crosstown Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) where they are inspected, cleaned and maintained. Construction on the facility began in 2016, and was completed in October 2018. Light rail vehicles began to arrive in January 2019. The facility will initially be home to 76 light rail vehicles, with capacity to store 135 as service levels increase to meet future demand. The main building is built to LEED Silver certification, and includes high energy and water efficiency, green roofs, solar reflective paving, and vehicle charging stations for electric vehicles.

Not to worry in the design they have a orange line 5 signage. So i'm not too worried
I'd be worried, especially since this current provincial government is the petty type which seems intent on reversing every single Liberal decision made whether it involves logic or no logic whatsoever.

I wouldnt be surprised if thery were looking into rebranding Metrolinx just for the sake of it (including a full livery change) even though it was changed just a couple years ago.
