And good morning to you, Mr. Au...

...and there's something funky going on with the subject tags (meta). And it looks quite spiffy! 😸

such an impressive project but i wonder why/how the shape of the park (rail deck) was defined. the composition of the north/south towers spanning the rail corridor would be more powerful if the park was rectangular. does anyone know why the park was shaped like this?View attachment 470082
$$$$

This "park" is really a private amenity space maintained by the developer from what I recall and is entirely funded by them - They clearly only had so much money to pay for the decking.

Walking from Front & Bay to CIBC South, it dawned on me that CIBC North will be the first building that seamlessly connects The Financial District with Southcore. Not just through the SkyPark, but also at ground level - you'll be able to enter the lobby, walk south on the existing teamway (bright and wide, doesn't look like a tunnel) and emerge at the bus station / CIBC South lobby in Southcore. I know you can also avoid walking "under the railway tracks" by going through Union Station, but that involves going down and then up several levels, not to mention complicated detours (at least until all the renovations are done).
