As someone who photograph over 200 project across the GTA yearly for some time, they all had cranes or a number of cranes on them at the same time that projects were delay coming out of the ground as there wasn't one for them. In the last few months, 50 projects have lost cranes or about to with a number of new projects breaking ground. Some are seeing cranes now. 2020 is going to be a slow year for cranes, but 2021 is going to be demanding one to see who gets one first.
Cranes have to see maintenance once they come down before they can go backup.
What I photograph is only a tip of what is taking place across the GTA.
The steel is top off at the main roof level and installing the steel for the mechanical room and elevator at the north end as well the shirting around the top. The decking is still not place in the north west corner on the roof an a floor below that I shot on Feb 22.

Don't think the steel is topped out yet - it extends some way beyond the top of the concrete core - look back at Contra's diagrams.

Yeah we have a ways to go. Crown extends beyond the top of the core by a bit (~20m). I suspect the crown will use the same steel as the southern "towers" crown, so that will be a good indicator.
Edit: To add...the reason the steel on the photos on the last page look like the crown is because the diamond pattern changes (essentially into one broad "v").

Trivia question: how many times in the last decade or so, has a new build (including its behaviour from am to pm light, reflections et al)... blown away the render promises? Easy answer lol.

That is for the mechanical room and elevator at the north end as well the shirting around the top, otherwise the main steel tower is top off.

Is there a date for when metrolinx moves into the part of the building that is the new bus terminal? According to GO it says 2020 but gives no real date as to when the change will be. https://www.gotransit.com/en/the-future-go/improvements/union-station-bus-terminal

This from the February 20th Metrolinx meeting shows that 'things are afoot'!
Metrolinx was granted access to the new Union Station Bus Terminal space to begin fit-up in February .

Thought I had seen all the various reflections of light on this building, but I think this is a new one. I think the only other building that stops me in my tracks like this is the Shangri-La, which uses a similar technique.
