Those photos are making me glad that the recessed bit between the two volumes is not darker glass, actually: the snake between the two diamond suspenders wouldn't work if the glass were darker.

Good eye! I've been noticing that recently and it is quite pleasant.

What bothers me the most is how the diamond pattern changes/ends before the top of each side of the tower, creating less variance in colour/reflection from what would be the most visible portion of the building. I get that a larger diamond is being used as an end to the pattern but it ends up having much less of an impact visually.
