Wow, that CIBC website trailer of the project is beautiful--almost had my eyes welling up. This could end up in the top 3 or 4 of all CBD complexes built thus far. (Damn shame Union Station cheaped out on the green roof.)

I assume the 'teamway' refers to the enclosed walkways on either side, and not the actual exterior sidewalks that hug Bay under the bridge? Can someone please confirm? If this is the case, are there plans to revitalize the sidewalks? In my opinion, the experience of walking under that bridge is one of the worst in the city, a shame considering the location.

Something about the choice of stock people in this picture rubs me the wrong way.....

You're right. Who wears suits these days? ;)

Where are the panhandlers? And the elderly, diversity of people, handicapped, security, and the kids who are skipping school?

Must be no sport games being played that day.

Was thinking the same; they spent some bucks on that marketing vid. It also shows off some (potential?) lighting details in the evening shots that I'm not sure I'd seen in that detail before:

And also just some super drool-worthy hi-res renders, because why not on a rainy hump day:

Yes, the Teamways are the enclosed passages and, as noted above, there ARE plans to improve them. In my opinion the sidewalks could be closed as it is certainly not pleasant to walk on them (and I cannot understand why anyone would if the Teamway adjacent is fully open (as all will be). There may be Code reasons why one needs to maintain the 'external" sidewalk but ..... It would be hard to improve them in any serious way as they are quite narrow and squeezed between the outer wall of the Teamway and the bike or traffic lanes.

More confirmation in that video of how badly the CIBC needs to update their logo. It looks awful everywhere it's plastered on this complex.

Maybe if they did without the red background and just the letters with the swoosh.

Not even. Revert back to the spirit of the mid-century logo with a suitable refresh. You don't see TD, RBC, BMO or Scotia abandoning the core concept in theirs throughout the years.

Thank you! Totally agree, but for newcomers to the city, the Teamway might not be the intuitive path to get to the waterfront. It could be seen as an entrance to Union station, and the sidewalks are right there...

If I was new to the city and wanted to get to the other side of the bridge, I'd just take the sidewalks, not just out of habit, but it seems like the easier, more direct path and the best bet to get to where I want to go.

I walk around this area often, and there is steady traffic on the sidewalks, even with the Teamways. So there are quite a few "why would anyone..." people confused with the "right" path to take. Hopefully there is planned updates or at least wayfinding to help with this very likely scenario for Toronto's touristy travel hub.

Totally agree, we should remove these names. While we're at it, remove the 'Concourse' names at Union station, as it's confusing for many people. Whether it's Bay/York/VIA Concourse, it's still the same Union Station.

Well, yes BUT if you want to go to Montreal you need to get to the VIA concourse and sooner or later (or much later?) we will have Bay and York for GO but will they be 'interchangeable? I certainly agree that the TEAMWAYS need better signage reinforcing fact that one can (eventually) walk through all 4 of them to get to/from Waterfront.
