I felt some people were being a bit hard on the brick panels in another thread, I think they have some charm!

They remind me of the type of bricks/tiles you see around Japan with a little bit of extra jazz thrown in.

Perhaps overshadowed by its impressive neighbour to the immediate south, I think this one is shaping up to be something quite special. I like the muted earthy tone of the brick along with the patterning effect. Great streetwall impact along Cooperage Street as well. Cherry & Mill corner will obviously be the star of the show, but I didn't grab any shots this time.

I peeked into the old Canary Diner building and the ground floor space has 14 foot ceilings! Very impressive space. I like the brick and would say it was Danish or Dutch inspired if I didn’t know its Indigenous motif. Photos taken 8 May.
