it's not bad. once trees go up and patio tables and umbrellas, it'll look a lot more attractive at street level.

my biggest beef is the dumbing down of the copper accent fins on the tower, which are nothing more than mullion accent lines now ... had they kept the original design (like fins on the podium) it would have looked really sharp

Agreed: I love those protruding frame windows! Looking forward to seeing this integrated into the street with landscaping, finishing touches.

This building goes from bad to worse! I never noticed how miss-matched that ugly, grey cladding is but that's probably because I try to avoid looking at it. Ouch indeed!

Is that grey cladding thin aluminium? It looks so bad, uneven colouring and not at all smooth with many ripples, not a good look.

The colour and the way it puffed up looks like zinc, but not sure about that.

^^I don't even like the sign above the entrance. The "heritage" component is nothing more than tokenism. Another grey window wall / spandrel dud.

I'll gladly take that brand of tokenism over a repetition of most of the rest of the god-awful tower.
