I wrote to Chris Moise's office and got this response. Does Parks really have NO clue about planning and ordering. Why would you not PLAN for fountain painting in winter.? This is from the Park Supervisor

"Parks is working on the necessary steps to have the Berczy fountain refurbished. All the relevant parties have been contacted. As you can see, it takes time. Nonetheless, I would encourage you to also submit your query through the 311 Service Request portal (if you haven’t already done so). This enables you to track the progress of your requests and, also, provides important data on response times, etc..

I [Moise's staff] will confirm with her [the Park Supervisor] if the work will be completed before the summer."

As one might have expected from the WORST City Division, Parks has missed the window for winter dog painting. I heard this from Chris Moise's office..

"Parks has let us know that the dogs will remain in their current state until fall/winter.

It is disappointing that the work wasn’t completed this winter as anticipated, but I’m glad they’ll remain in place over the summer."

Something really needs to be done about Parks, they are truly awful with planning and managing projects of any size.

Put me in a position of authority and you'll see major changes...

I mean, the bar is the floor at this point. The bar is driving your pickup up onto the grass and then sitting on your phone for an hour or so before leaving. Garbage bins were already overflowing on the first nice day we had a few weeks back. Inexcusable stuff.

Here is the reply I got from the (normally very helpful) Park Supervisor who looks after Berczy.
