They will if they film new ones but some shows recycle the same establishing shots every year

It isn't set in Toronto, so there's no need to update the shots. The BA Centre looks like a pair of generic corporate towers that could be built anywhere. It's perfect for the show. Scotia Plaza, however, shouldn't be visible on the show since it's a distinctive Toronto landmark.

And yet it always is...

Looking forward to the final street level touches to be finished - like the cladding on the pillars, landscaping and seeing the Yonge-facing podium with lights on.

It's just a tower. On the other hand, many more viewers are aware there aren't any streetcars in Manhattan.

Yep. Plus it's a fictionalized version of Manhattan: I just saw them filming with a fake subway entrance for a station that doesn't exist in the real Manhattan.

Love this! It's truly wonderful and looks like it's always been located here. Can we have more and more of this type of quality of heritage restoration/facades on Yonge please?

Too bad that the sidewalk on the north side of the relocated/restored building is so narrow that it wouldn't (easily) accommodate a decent patio. Along with the patios on the Dineen side, it would nicely frame the Yonge entrance to Temperance. Given the pedestrian connection between Arnell Plaza and Cloud Gardens, the patios (Blowfish also has one on the other end), and the Bixi (whatever they call it these days) station, this stretch of Temperance is becoming a very pleasant pedestrian friendly link.

Brookfield management has quietly discussed closing the street after they build the North building at some future point. Many of the renderings they have for the north building show a pedestrian only Temperance. They have gone so far as to begin negotiations with the owners of the other buildings on the street on how to amalgamate garbage etc...

As long as it still accommodates bicycles, then that sounds like it could be a great plan.
