Don't forget about "Improve Canada", also a ghost "mall", that one has been open forever and still has major vacancies/failed businesses. The hilarious thing is the fake 4.1 star review on Google, mostly desperate business operators within the mall trying to drum up interest by submitting fake/5 star reviews. These condo retail shoe box type units/malls have mostly all been major failures in North America.

I was in Calgary once--albeit briefly. This is obviously an extreme case, but the entire city is bizarrely sterile.

It's a little overbuilt right now since it was so high growth and went right into recession. Iirc they have like a 25% vacancy rate for downtown space right now.

To be fair, ice was falling from all high rise buildings downtown yesterday. There is no need to single out this one.
Maybe not, I learned that 1 Bloor East had the same issue after posting last night. BUT this building has a notoriously unfriendly pedestrian environment at ground level whenever it rains, or ice melts. The designers just didn't care to weather-protect their design.
