While it would have been nice if Tridel had invested as heavily in all the Aqua[blank]as, if they had to pick just one, I'm glad it's the one adjacent to the slip.
Forgive me...what used to be there?he was a strong smell of gasoline at the site.
Wow. good progressDoes anyone know what the original purpose of the concrete structure they're now demolishing at the bottom of the pit? Is it an old intake line?

That would be the building on the far right in this image? The previous structure was a large warehouse whose main use was freight sorting for Canpar. Originally the property was swamp land and built over for industrial use, oil and gas storage iirc. Also, the adjacent slip was used as a boat launch.
the rail spur in front of Redpaths was only ripped up 10 years ago.. it's almost hard to believe now. Hell even Captain John's getting removed feels like forever ago now but also just yesterday..Wow, that takes me back. In some ways, 2006 feels like it was yesterday, others it seems prehistoric.
Haha, yeah, not much happens in sugar beach parks from October to AprilI used to drive along that stretch of QQE in late 2000's and early 2010's every day. The changes in the area is tremendous! I wish the entire south side was just one big Sugar Beach/Park, but it is nice to see the area more lively with people.
