It appeared that construction had started when I biked by last night. the access road to the east of the sales centre was ripped up and you could see dirt being moved around down by the lake.

Not sure exactly where this belongs, but there is a lot of de-watering going on just east of the sales centre.

I was told they are extending the waterfront pedestrian walkway etc across the balance of the site. 3rd party thru Waterfront Toronto, not Tridel.

Yes, they are doing the infrastructure for phase 2 of the Tridel developments. It's the new roads, sewage, and promenade that will service this and Waves.

Per the latest WT Board report:

Final Conditions related to the Bayside Phase II Subdivision Agreements were cleared and the Phase II Subdivision Agreement was registered on November 21. The Aquabella transaction is scheduled to close mid December 2017 and commence construction in the new year. A two-storey City-owned and operated child care centre will be located in the Aquabella building. Waterfront Toronto, our development partner Hines/Tridel, and City staff are currently finalizing the terms of the child care property transaction.
