Steam and Hiss, thanks for taking the time, you've helped me 'see' this building. It was an earlier description of its 'punched windows' from another poster that opened my appreciation to this accent. The exterior has cheapened. The punched windows may have been made more shallow and wide to preserve residents views. Just guessing. But this is very disappointing.

Would be interesting to know who, exactly, took this upon themselves and why? It seems like Great Gulf M&G, for example, was able to keep the distinctive details, whereas Foster & Partner buildings tend to evolve alot, 1 Bloor East too. Are F&P initial designs impactcal economically?

developers don't go around building beautiful buildings if they can't make a profit
...wouldn't a shorter building cut down on the amount of units therefore the developer making less profit, no?

By that logic developers wouldn't build anything shorter than 1000 floors. And they certainly wouldn't be building 2 storey townhomes or tract housing. Clearly there are many more factors than just height when it comes to making a profit.

The database file has been updated to reflect the new number of floors, suites, and that IBI Group is now the Architect of Record (no longer RAW) since being picked up by Lanterra.

That's a great way of hiding the construction while advertising. Everything about this project oozes class so far.
