Selling condos in Toronto has become far too easy. Developers (Tridel in this case) are just plain lazy and cheap with their design. It seems they have forgotten that every building they put up will be representative of their brand for decades to come. Maybe they just don't care..
yes, true but this is one of the better sides of the building; the grey-ish spandrel side really shouldn't have had the light frost colored balcony glass; instead it should have had black balcony glass for nice contrast. Or better yet, replace the grey spandrel with black. As for someone asking why the top row of windows are different sizes (as it looks messy), my answer is it gives the building that Toronto 'scruffy'/haphazardly-developing look, like Trump Tower, Aura, 10 Dundas East, Liberty Village buildings, etc. If Tridel and other developers didn't do this relatively consistently, it would go against Toronto's design and planning guidelines. (Sorry couldn't help myself. )
