Looks like the existing building served as a presentation centre for that ugly Madison Avenue lofts building completed several years ago:

There was a community meeting about this development a year ago or so. I think HP did a nice job of terracing along the back side of the development to appease homeowners on Bernard Ave who were quite vocal about their displeasure of a building taller than 1 story going up along Davenport here. This development abuts their backyards.
 
Yeah it's exclusive and may not get built==sadly rich ppl are most hesitant to buy in a stock market correction==but while conservative, it's much better than the competition, is rather modern and for Davenport Rd post WW2, quite attractive. Hence it's become one of my chosen ones, RenderPornStar of the week for 22 August 2011.
 
An UrbanToronto dataBase entry for this beautiful little building is up now, with lots of renderings, and it's introduced in this front page article.

That or the market might just be a little hesitant to pay premium prices to live directly across the street from an enormous Toronto Community Housing building.

Blinds to Go has gotta be the next to go. With all the development & proposals around this area I doubt it's too long for this world.
 
277 Davenport may be the most luxurious building under construction in the city right now. There will be just 10 units from about 1700 to 3500 square feet with fireplaces and 10 foot ceilings. The units are 2 storeys or a choice of half or full floor units. This project raises the bar. I'd love to see the interiors upon completion.
