* note that this school lacks a dedicated yard of any size and is sited directly across from the principle public park.

Goodness, there's a lot of science fiction/fantasy in those proposals when realizing the host is Madison headlining Turner Fleischer. We'd be lucky if we're end up with Time and Space 2.0, IMO. /sigh

Something off with the thread title... 48 storey towers @ 92 metres is 1.92 metres per floor (about 6 feet 3").

Maybe the 2 bedroom units are stacked?

This one was before the DRP earlier this week.

It was unanimously non-supported.

Key critiques were:

- Park/School yard is way too formal, too much hardscape

- Panel not liking the N-S connection through the 'B' buildings facing Eglinton at Warden. Feeling it seemed too private, not inviting.

- Some sense the plan for the site was a bit too vehicle centred. Particular dislike was expressed for the over-sized turning circles.

- Some feeling the site just needed a bit more vibrance to it.

*****

Things we learned, plan is to retain on-site supermarket, no confirmation if this will be Adonis. Supermarket to go on 2nd floor above ground at the corner of Eglinton/Warden.

Possible relationship to Centennial we knew about, but extensive discussions on-going for them to occupy grade-level, maybe more in 2 buildings at the North-west extreme of the development.

Entire site appears to be concieved to sit on one giant slab; that poses problems in my mind in regards to ground water. Some question raised about it in respect of runoff by panel; I'm thinking more about ground water outside the block and how its suppose to migrate around the site.
