Nope, doubt it ... this entire building was for lease, but (you can see the logo) some union / power works thingie took it, I thought it was the entire building but I'm guessing they leased floors 2+.
So hoarding has been up for a while, but no demolition app has been filed....last night one of the boarded-up houses went up in flames. I am patient awaiting the conspiracy theorists..
Y'know, given that the Minto office was remodelled by SOM (that is, it was *pure* SOM, unlike the Zeidlerized towers to the south), this stucco overlay'd definitely count as needlessly bone-headed architectural disfiguration, I suppose...
Toronto City Planning is hosting a community consultation meeting regarding the proposed development of a 36 storey residential tower at 183-195 Roehampton Avenue & 139-145 Redpath Avenue. The meeting will be held on Thursday, June 20, 7 pm to 9 pm at St. Monica Catholic School in the multi-purpose room (14 Broadway Avenue).
