The increasingly dense and urban midtown hub of Yonge and Eglinton has become the most significant development node between the crane-dotted hives of construction seen surrounding the Yonge/Sheppard and Yonge/Bloor intersections. Many developers are breaking into the sought after “Yonge & Eg” market, including downtown condominium heavyweight Freed Developments, who have partnered with CD Capital and construction firm Broccolini for their new project planned for Redpath Avenue, just north of Eglinton. 155 Redpath features an interesting modern exterior design courtesy of architectsAlliance, but for a look at the future interior spaces of this 35-storey condominium, we turn to the model suite displayed at the 155 Redpath presentation centre located on Yonge Street, steps south of Eglinton.

Clean, contemporary white is the dominant look inside the Johnson Chou Inc.-designed model suite. The space is highlighted by the simplicity of fixtures and furniture, while warmth comes from texture—like the legless coffee table made of a single gorgeous slab of Carrara marble—and splashes of colour—like the red vintage-modern chair seen below—which have been thrown into the mix.

The model suite’s kitchen has been custom-designed by Johnson Chou, and potential purchasers at 155 Redpath have the option to customize said design in a variety of colours and finishes. Like the model suite, units will be decked out with European appliances and stainless steel backsplashes.

Both bedrooms in the model suite feature a continuation of the beautifully/impossibly white aesthetic seen throughout the unit. The bed in the master bedroom has an interesting backlit leather headboard and small night tables attached at each side of the bed, plus a surrounding built-in bookcase.

The second bedroom comes with a touch more colour than the rest of the suite, courtesy of some hip, modern art above the headboard, which like the other art pieces seen on display in the 155 Redpath presentation centre, comes from the Oeno Gallery in Bloomfield, Ontario.

A visit to the presentation centre will give anyone lots to think about when it comes to decorating their home… and of course the developers of 155 Redpath hope you may start dreaming of their building as your next home. If either scenario appeals to you, there's a really good reason to make that visit a couple of weekends from now. On November 30, the sales centre is hosting a Suite Release Event. Buy a unit that day, and you will find yourself the proud owner of a new iPad Air as well. The iPad Air connects to 155 Redpath's emphasis on another thing we all love more and more: high-tech. We'll talk more about that in a future update.
