OMG, finally. This has been a grubby brownfield in the heart of Parkdale for how long?? Wasn't it a gas station eons ago?

I think you're right because I was visiting Lumicrest next door a couple of weeks ago and the smell of gas in the air was thick.

Has the site ever been remediated? I wonder if that's what we're looking at as opposed to the start of construction of the building.
