Newest cladding is a lighter colour and has more sheen to it. They couldnt use this for the whole tower? What gives?

may be the reason for a dull- dark cladding at the top was so we could see the pattern. a shiny cladding reflects alot of light and hard to notice the pattern with it. i could be wrong.

plus i like the new cladding.

I am frankly not at all impressed by these pencil towers. I think they are a bit of an eyesore.

Only 111 west 57th street can be considered pencil thin. Central park tower has very elegant proportions I think.
