The Weston proposal looks great in the first (yellow @ night) rendering.

Am I ever glad that Shane Baghai and Tridel got to develop that site instead!

it DOES look 1930's..either Fascist Germany or Soviet Constructivist.

More than anything, it reminds me of the later Egyptian mastaba, specifically those of the New Kingdom:
