Honorary unit should go out to the good ole Jesus guy at Dundas Square. Really hope that fellah is doing alright during these times. One of the more interesting characters in the Toronto urban landscape prior to the pandemic.

Scaffolding has been removed for the buildings on St. Clair just east of Oakwood. They're going with grey brick and EIFS. Not award winning stuff but not necessarily that bad TBH compared to other properties further west on Corso Italia. The original brick may have been too far gone or the resources weren't there for a full restoration

Much further west but just putting this here. Noticed a Krcmar Surveyors signage at the SE corner of St. Clair & Runnymede. They're usually involved in the early planning stages of potential redevelopments so maybe something could happen here in the future. If I were to take a guess then perhaps Marlin Spring again as they've been pretty bullish on the Stockyards area just east of here.

St. Clair and Runnymede could definitely use some mixed-use avenues-style development to improve the area. It's a good location for the prices you see that's about a 10-minute bus ride to the subway with several bus routes available. Someone living there has a large variety of retail in the area to choose from, including 3 major grocery stores in walking distance, and is also a few minutes away from the Junction's main retail area by foot/bike.

High Park, Bloor West Village, and the parkland in the Humber Valley are a quick bike ride/drive away too. Yet, St. Clair from Runnymede to Symes Road looks rather uninspiring at the present time with numerous auto repair shops, a few rundown low-rise apartment buildings, ugly used car lots, and generic retail buildings.

I'd definitely also welcome an avenues style mid-rise building for St. Clair & Runnymede. There's some workable existing urban forms at the SE and NW corners, but overall there's quite a bit of fragmentation in both east and west directions. Having a gas station at any intersection always tends to be an automatic deaden-er as well.

There's a fair amount of industry and employment type spaces along this stretch, so not everything will be redevelopable. And that's fine with me. The key thing will be finding balance in the Stockyards area. Hopefully the couple of mid-rises a few blocks east of here will start to build further momentum in the area. The added population base should also help contribute gradually better street life and pedestrian activity.

Wallace Espresso has opened a new location at St. Clair West & Hounslow Heath.

It replaces the former Hounslow House coffee shop.

Depends on the section.........but for much of this ROW this would require removal of one travel lane for cars.

But the trees/sidewalk wouldn't require the entire space of the travel lane, as such, bike lanes could be added.

Expensive proposition. I'm all for it!

From a few weeks ago but I saw a soil sampler type machine on site at the Delta Bingo site at St. Clair West & Old Weston:

First time noticing that the retail units along the side street Silverthorn, just north of St. Clair are occupied with different tenants. Good to see them put to use.
