Really excited for the Urban Outfitters. It'll be the only one in the GTA not in downtown if I'm not mistaken. Any news on what's taking over Target? I expect them to be closed by May.

Way too early for Sq One and other mall owners to know what will fill those stores. The mall is in the position of picking who they want in the mall these days and has a list of future tenants they want, but don't expect to see them until 2016-17.

Sq One is still dealing with what to do with the movie theater area. That whole end should be torn down and rebuilt including Target.

That 2005 expansion revision has come back and bit OMERS in the ass for killing the original plan.

Flight Centre has moved to the south of its original location and smaller in size next to a small The FaceShop.

Classic Fit Dry Cleaner has moved down to the lower level across from the mall office that is smaller than the one upstairs at the north entrance. The old place will be for a smaller Dollarama Store

Most stores locations are going smaller, as the mall tries to to add more stores to the current size. They have a number of spaces to fill with stores closing to the point they haven't done anything in the empty centre court upper level between White House and Harry Rosen.

Steel is up for the new south entrance and steel spreed out on the new floor for the rest of the expansion, as well a number of trailers with load on site. Some very large curve steel beams on site. The larger trusses are going along the existing south end that will support new store fronts with wider spacing between existing columns.

The new north entrance for Forever 21 is now exposed with a small section of current. End of Feb is looking like the opening date at this time and could move into March at the latest.

Another eating place is going in beside Charley's Steak place and forgot who there now since I rarely eat there in the first place.

Either this coming week or next, Forever 21 will finally be open. Still work to be done.

Target has a lot of empty shelves which is not surprising since there wasn't much stock there in the first place. Busy, but I didn't see any deal worth buying in the first place.

SoftMoc is moving into a larger place in March where the temporarily Shoppers Drugs was.

All the stores over by Bay area are now horded up where Urban Outfitters is going in.

Forever21 is schedule to open this weekend finally.

The currents have been removed on the south side and can look inside the store freely. The east side still has plastic up which is odd considering the south exposure. It could be due to electrical lights still being install and other work.

Oxford has put in an offer to buy the Target lease at Square One. They either want control of who goes into the space, or they already have an idea of who they want in the space.

Sorry I forgot to upload this, but I have a lot of photos from the Target Closing. I also have pictures of the new expansion, as well as inside Forever 21. There are also a couple of pictures of the new Chandelier. I apologize for the blurriness of some photos.

Spirit Halloween will be (temporarily) taking over Target's old space.

Guess Oxford is having a tough time finding a tenant for the space if they have to end up leasing it short-term.

Temporarily leasing a space does not mean they are having a hard time leasing space. Any company would have a difficult time though filling a huge space like this. I'm sure that if they had known Target was going to disappear in Canada, you would have seen Simons or Holt Renfrew take that space instead of building a new section. But it is what it is. Oxford is gonna figure it out, I'm sure.

Or think bigger - a new intermodal terminal for both GO and MT in the basement with rough-in LRT station, retail podium + hotel on top.
