The snow plows were not kind to this stretch of the Martin Goodman trail along Lake Shore (between Roncy and Jameson). Not sure why these stainless mesh screens were tacked onto the metal barriers to begin with, but they were obviously installed without taking the snow clearing into consideration.

Replacement mesh screens were installed by riveting them in the exact same way that failed with the old screens. Problem solved until the next major snowfall.
What if they just used a couple more rivets per panel? Maybe that would have only caused a delay of several months?If they had insisted on a redesign I bet it would not have happened for several years!
