Toronto Scenic On Eglinton | ?m | 18s | Aspen Ridge | P + S / IBI

Why do I get the sinking feeling that this will be set back a mile from Eglinton?

Because it will be ... lol

There's giant hill here.

A hill is not an impediment to construction. *sigh* hopefully somebody, someday will build a nice solid streetwall right along Eglinton.

According to the Toronto Region Conservation Authority, which has planning & permiting authority and provides advice to the city planning department, the subject hill is an impediment to construction.

Seems like it wouldn't be a problem...if it were located in San Fran, they build buildings on hills all over that place...

TRCA holds a surprising amount of planning and permitting jurisdiction throughout the watershed - the site is adjacent to a major ravine and there are a lot of regulations, buffers and set-back requirements from hazard zones and the tops of embankments.

And here's phase three:

All of them together:

It has snowed on the renderings!

Rather pretty.

Here's what the construction site looks like now, and it's similarly snowy. First, across the West Don Valley, from the old Inn On The Park site east of Leslie.
