Rob Ford's Toronto

Doug wrote these signs around the time of the casino vote in early 2013. Seems like a lifetime ago. Wanted to see if his handwriting resembled the "mayor ford" addendum to Rob's 'gimme the keys I'm coming back' letter. Doesn't look the same but I'm on an old netbook with a poor screen.

The "M"s have the same initial extra downstroke, but the "A"s are totally different with DoFo's rounded tops and the pointed top of the 'RoFo' one, DoFo's "O"s are complete circles where the 'RoFo' one is an upside down tribute ribbon. The "Y"s and "D"s and "R"s are similar, but the sample sizes are too small and the scale of the DoFo signs different enough to be conclusive, but by the "A"s alone I'd say two different hands.

Creepy Handwriting: Very Juvinille Penmanship.

Doug also has really crappy handwriting - meaning it looks like an underused skill. A while back he scotchtaped some silly signs at city hall before a big council vote. I'll have a look but am travelling so wifi is patchy.

These notes look like something a Grade Eight student would write, both the penmanship and he content. He's the SMART one in the family?

Or, never mind relapses. I can see something weird happening on his first day back at City Hall; y'know, something like his going coo-coo bananas upon discovering that something's not been "reinstated" to his liking (like, the locks to his office)--maybe even to the point where he's henceforth banned from 100 Queen.

Another thing to keep in mind post-*rehab*: I doubt the media will be letting up on investigation into Deco's operations, either.

I doubt he'll go coo coo bananas first day back. I bet he will say "I'm fitter than ever and back to stop the gravy train that has started since council overstepped their bounds and removed my powers", or something to that effect. Doug of course will ramp up the bullshit to the nth degree and Mammo/"Gino Boy" will offer his support for the assclowns while at the same time tossing a few barbs their way, he's as big a jackoff as Rub and Tug.

I need some bleach after reading the "I hate the war on Rob Ford" website. So they have now turned on Hudak:

"He messed with the Ford karma and he's paid the price."

They hate Kelly, Chow, Tory, Stintz, every media outlet including the Sun since they've also gone against Wobbie, Wynne, of course. What a pathetic little group of people.

yes, it would usually appear as a signature and then a for or per in front of the official name. Common practice on docs needing a prof stamp.

This.

Any attempt to reproduce the person's actual signature (even badly) would be forgery, IMO. But that was back in the very early part of this century. :) I may need both hands count the number of times I've been asked to actually sign a letter/proposal/report in the past decade, but I bet I'd still have a couple of digits left over. Electronic signatures, people! I remember when I changed jobs in 2006 I emailed my former office manager asking for a copy of my "signature" sig because I didn't like my new attempts.:D

But that doesn't seem to apply to Rob and staff as we've discovered he doesn't work the computer, at least at City Hall. And apparently his signature changes with the wind anyway so I wonder if Rob was ever asked to supply an e-sig, which one would he go with?

Ha, wait till they what percentage of votes RoFo gets (assuming he is even fit to run). I doubt he will best Hudak's share of the votes. Besides, on the topic of karma, his "unelected premier" just got elected with a majority and she ain't answering your calls (and she ain't Sandro), chew on that buddy.

This is rich: From the I support "Mayor Rob Ford" and I forgive "Rob Ford" in his personal life page (the quotation marks are theirs, not mine)

Unfortunately Nelson, the next four years will be like watching a loved one slowly pass away and not being able to do anything about it.
On one hand we call this democracy, yet this premier strips the democratic rights of a duly elected mayor. Unlike provincial politics, like minded party supporters do not form council, so opposition can out number the mayor as it did here. Maybe we'll get lucky and Prime Minister Stephen Harper will find a way to reduce her responsibilities and save this province from sinking further into debt at the expense of the hardworking tax payer before it's too late.

Yes, Wynne stripped Ford of his powers. Oy!

Yes, beyond that error, a duly elected mayor who spent the last two months in "rehab" taking selfies while getting paid by the taxpayers (not like he did much work prior to that, but I digress). Someone is stripped, and the emperor isn't wearing any clothes.

Why is it that the people who use the word "democracy" the most are the ones who understand it the least?
