Rob Ford's Toronto

Someone should calculate the cost of that move - councillor, staff time spent on reversing a vote on a per rata basis. Just because someone is being stupid with the button and doesn't read his notes.

AoD
Did RoFo call for a recorded vote on Tory's original motion? Maybe Robbie thought it was a conflict of interest to vote in favour.

Many on the right are now pretending to be happy about this. How could they be happy about their conservative shangri la going socialist?

Infighting and spin to hide fear.

Good article... my answer of how Robbie's office could not catch the mistake... ONE BILLIIIIION DOLLARS!

George Sawision is blathering on about how Alberta's oil now belongs to China.

Same as it ever was. China has been investing in the oil sands for some time. The U.S., too. Love it or hate it, that's how a free market works. Sawision is a real dunce. Wish he'd see a doctor.

The majority of the oil sands are foreign owned... Aside, I don't believe a "free market" exists.

And council is back. Dealing with quick items. Then they are going straight to member motions. After that, ombudsman report on security.

Is Rob present?

In his damaged little brain, he just believes it's his responsibility to vote 'no' on everything...
"if everyone is voting 'this' way, then it must be bad for the the taxpayers. i better vote 'no'."

I think it's more like betting every number on a roulette wheel. If he votes "no" to everything, he can say he opposed whatever blows up in the future. He also ends up opposing stuff that works, but we don't talk about that very often.

He also votes no or is absent for votes on stuff he later takes credit for.

Crean is speaking now. Ford isn't there as far as I know. Mammo is now responding because he doesn't like the titles Crean used. Wah!! He feels her titles are cocky. Nunziata keeps asking if he has questions.

Perks is tweeting that Mammo tried to stop council from quickly approving recognition of the Armenian genocide. Jennifer Pagliaro says Mammo wants the item dealt with so that interested people in the public gallery will be able to leave soon.

What are the odds he'll try to argue it wasn't really genocide, given that the Turkish-Canadian community organized a fundraiser for him last summer?

Odds are pretty good...

"It is not our job to deal with this" Giorgio Mammoliti on Armenian Genocide.

"You don't understand the history of it" Giorgio Mammoliti to council on Armenian Genocide.

Agree with Mammo on this one - not even close to being the city's business.
