I tend to think the NatPo is Toryland, but I could be wrong.
Definitely not Chowland.

Probably nothing wrong with selling email lists. Or selling logos. Or re-selling phone numbers. Or selling web designs and websites. Or subleasing campaign offices. Or using City Hall offices. Or using City Hall staff. Probably nothing wrong at all.

I forgot them. But still, who would the globe endorse?
Hudak.
That's a joke, sort of. A joke with an agenda. Look up the story of the Globe editorial endorsement for the recent provincial election. It is not pretty.

Thats eye opening. So its not really a simple question of who would the globe endorse, but who is the globe.
Well, in the case of the Hudak editorial, more like "who is the Globe's owner"
What was the fallout? Did the editorial board lose anyone? Will Thompson be able to be as autocratic again or has there been any sort of fix?
I guess I'm a rube, I always liked Mclean. I thought it was pithy and homey not really supposed to be funny. Never heard Keillor, but way to pile on vinyl cafe. Smells like self loathing Canadians to me.
I had never heard of Rex Murphy til last night either. That piece was awful. I couldn't make out the second slur against anyone who didn't worship at the fordian feet but thats where I cut it off.
You're not a rube, hostage. You just don't have the same reference point as some folks here. If you enjoy McLean, please continue to do so. No harm. No foul. Me? I'll spend my time elsewhere.
Folks, there's an update at Doug's new photo page for ya:

To the people who wrote "enough with the screencaps already, it's the internet, just post links to the content", a few weeks ago -- bah!
Saw this on Twitter, so I can't take credit but if anyone wants to see the letter, it's no problem. It's right here - on ROB FORD's website. Everyone get out a glass of something bubbly and celebrate: it's Doug's first camping violation!

As for the Tory thing...I don't know what the heck he's doing. So far I suspect it only seems big because I follow a lot of reporters and they're the ones bitching about it; rightfully. Apparently his people also had Goldsbie disinvited from one of those dinner parties Corey Mintz does for the Star each week.
I don't know if it will spill over into the mainstream but it's not winning Respect Points from me for Tory. Whether or not he likes Gee or someone else is besides the point. He shouldn't be getting cocky and start taking on Rob's worst traits. It's especially dumb since the Globe is a paper likely to endorse him.
