That's going to make him grumpy. But it's the right decision.
You think so? How bout we go by his place tonight, say after he's had a couple of beers, and find out?

don't blame RF ... he probably felt he would be bullied and laughed at the FCM.
"so you're the mayor of Toronto" ... snicker

There is now a very good reason why Union Station has a moat. A moat is defined as a pool of water surrounding a castle. The Union Station moat was literally a moat, close to a castle (called Fairmount Royal York Hotel).
Well, ya know, it's a $700 million shortfall one day and a $290 million surplus the next. One day ya gotta cut services, but you don't, and the next day ya cut taxes because the city's bankrupt.
All of this should make it abundantly clear why daddy Ford didn't want Robby in the family business.
If the moron gets rid of the Land Transfer Tax like he is trying to any surplus he has left will go bye bye. And it'll probably be all "Transit City" and "Pinkos"' fault.
I really have to wonder if - heaven forbid - a major 'event' befell Toronto and if Ford has either the leadership skills to handle it or the ability to calm or reassure a frightened city.
