Taken 14 July. I chatted with someone connected to this and it is actually 2 units. And there is rehabilitation work going on at Sumach and Shuter across from Sumach Espresso.

There is also an image of the lot for a Catholic school and I wonder if there will be something a little more ambitious now that zoning and government are much more flexible on mixed-use and higher densities.
Whenever the TDSB sells a school the TCDSB gets first right of refusal to buy it. So when Regent Park/ Duke of York PS closed in 2012, the Catholic board acquired the land, demolished the school and has been sitting on this land unused for over a decade. I would like to see the province seize the land and build much needed housing.

You know things have changed for the better in Regent Park when another Pilates studio opens up across from a bougie French bakery! 🧘‍♀️🥐

Taken 15 March. This intersection has had a makeover since I was last here and it looks great! And will be even better when the park opens and the patio at Sumach Espresso fills the southwest corner. Sumach to Cherry is becoming a true urban street and may see more retail and multiplexes along it as it matures.
