RBC Centre (LEED Gold, CadFair, 41s, KPF/B+H/&Co.) COMPLETE

so the lantern is being covered but there's still that giant gap...what can we expect then?!

They are bringing materials through the gap from the surface? Is that the side of the building where they stage materials for the crane?

Can we please stop the redundant 'discussion' concerning 'whether' the gap will be closed. It will be.

for me this lantern section is turning out to be a very redeeming element for this project. As shown in the photos above it takes on an interesting lighting as sunlight shines through it in the daytime as well... nice little greenhouse thing going on there - eventually to be known as Toronto's highest grow op?

^^ Same for me. Such a simple geometric figure, the lantern adds an incredible amount of interest and cohesion to the project. I quite like it!

yep, interesting indeed. i hope it shimmers brilliantly at night and adds some life to the skyline. i'm glad they put those railings in on the north side, i feel the building needed variance in form and materials. i don't know what they are for though.
